Nepal officially incorporates new political map into its National Emblem

Nepal's Coat of Arms to include Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani inside Nepal's territory.

After passing both Houses of Parliament, President Bidya Devi Bhandari ratified the Second Amendment to the Constitution of Nepal to incorporate it’s new political map into Nepal’s Constitution and National Emblem.

This comes after the Parliament Secretariat forwarded the constitutional amendment to President Bhandari, following the unanimous passing of the Article 274(10) of the Constitution of Nepal from the National Assembly.

A statement by Hari Prasad Dahal, spokesperson at the president’s office, reads

Today, Thursday, the 4th of Asar, 2077 BS, the Honorable President, Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari, has ratified the “Constitution of Nepal (Second Amendment) Bill, 2077” in accordance with Article 274 (10) of the Constitution of Nepal.

आज मिति २०७७ साल असार ४ गते बिहीबारका दिन सम्माननीय राष्ट्रपति श्रीमती विद्यादेवी भण्डारीज्यूले संघीय संसदको  दुवै सदनको बैठकबाट पारित भई प्रमाणीकरणको लागि पेश हुन आएको “नेपालको संविधान (दोस्रो संशोधन) विधेयक, २०७७“ नेपालको संविधानको धारा २७४ को उपधारा (१०) बमोजिम प्रमाणीकरण गर्नुभएको छ ।
